Purpose
The purpose of The Virginia Beach Garden Club is to stimulate and encourage the knowledge and love of gardening among amateurs, to aid in the protection of native plants and birds, to encourage conservation of our natural resources, to promote civic planting and to help in the preservation and restoration of historic gardens.
Organized by eight women in 1937, The Virginia Beach Garden Club now maintains 65 Active and approximately 25 Associate members. In 1953, we created the Junior Virginia Beach Garden Club for young women, which has 40 members under the age of 45.
